Tamales are traditional in Mexican cuisine and are made from a corn dough. With this recipe, you can create the typical green tamales or in green sauce.

15 ears corn, large
250 grams butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 kilo tomatillo
2 serrano chiles
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 onions, chopped

The corn is washed and the kernels are removed.
The corn kernels are ground raw with a little bit of milk.
The butter is beaten separately and the corn and baking powder are added.
The tomatoes are boiled in a little water and then peeled.
A sauce is made by grinding the tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, and chiles.
The sauce is fried in a pan with a little butter.
The corn husks (from those used in the recipe) are spread with the tamale dough and steamed for half an hour.
They are known to be cooked when the tamale unwraps and separates from the husk.
