Poblano Strips

Delicious side dish of poblano pepper strips, prepared with Oaxaca cheese. Perfect to accompany a tasty chicken or meat dish; also great with white rice or enjoyed alone in tacos. Give them a try.

  • 8 Poblano chiles

  • 100 grams Oaxaca cheese

  • Roast the poblano peppers and place them in a plastic bag, letting them rest for 20 minutes.
  • Slice the onion into thin rings and shred the Oaxaca cheese. Set aside.
  • Clean the peppers by removing the stem, seeds, and outer skin until they are green. Slice the peppers into thin strips.
  • In a skillet with oil, add the onion, fry it, and once it is translucent, add the strips and powdered broth to taste. Fry for about 20 minutes. Add the Oaxaca cheese, cover, and it's ready to serve.
