Prepare this delicious recipe for ham-stuffed chayotes with a creamy and delightful touch. In addition to being easy to prepare, you will only need 8 ingredients to have a tasty side dish for your daily meal.
Heat a pot with water and salt over medium heat, cook the chayotes for 15 minutes, when they are soft, remove from heat, cool, and set aside.
Place the chayotes on a cutting board and, using a spoon, scoop out the center of the chayote and set the pulp aside.
In a bowl, mix the ham with the chayote pulp, the cream, half of the cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Fill the chayotes with this mixture.
Place them in a baking dish, add the remaining grated cheese, and place a cube of butter on each chayote. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the butter has melted.
Serve hot.
