Grilled Eggplants with Spices

Easy, diet-friendly, and very healthy recipe for grilled eggplants with spices, you can make it as a light dinner or a side dish.

  • 1 eggplant
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cube butter

  • Slice the eggplant into not-too-thin rounds.
  • Draw out the moisture from the eggplant by sprinkling coarse salt on each side and let them rest for 5 minutes, then rinse with water.
  • Spray a skillet with PAM and let it heat for 1 minute.
  • Place the eggplants and season with salt, pepper, and a little oregano.
  • Once they start to brown, add a tablespoon of olive oil on top, then flip them after 5-7 minutes.
  • Repeat the previous step and leave them until you see them nicely browned.
  • Before serving, cut the butter into very thin slices and once the heat is off, place it on top of the eggplant slices.
