Huitlacoche with Cream

Serve this delicious dish with warm tortillas; huitlacoche with cream can be served in sopes, quesadillas, or with chicken.

  • 4 cups huitlacoche, fresh or canned
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream

  • Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a medium-sized skillet.
  • Add half of the onion and the garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add the huitlacoche and cook for 5 minutes or until well cooked. Season with salt and pepper and pour into a deep plate.
  • Add the cream, mix well, and serve.
