Quick Sweet Potato Mash

This sweet potato mash recipe does not contain sugar and is a quick side dish for any meat, chicken, or fish. Sweet potatoes are very high in vitamin A and also contain good amounts of potassium.

  • 4 sweet potatoes, medium-sized, peeled, and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 1/2 cups light milk
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream, or heavy cream
  • salt, and pepper to taste

  • In a large pot, bring the sweet potatoes to a boil in salted water until soft. Drain and set aside.
  • Melt the butter and cook the garlic until golden. Add the cooked potatoes to the pan, then add the milk and cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Mash in the same pan or place in a food processor to blend.
