This soup is the base of the Cabbage Soup Diet with which one can lose up to 4 kilos in just 7 days of the diet. This soup can be eaten in desired quantities during the 7 days along with the daily menu.

1/2 heads cabbage
6 onions, chopped
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2 cans tomato
3 carrots, chopped
100 grams button mushrooms, chopped
4 sprigs celery
4 tablespoons dry chicken broth or bouillon
1 can vegetable juice
garlic, in pieces

In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté the onion for 5 minutes.
Add all the diced vegetables to the pot.
Add 12 cups of water and bring to a boil for 1 hour or until the cabbage is very tender.
