Easy Fish Stew

Budget-friendly and yielding, this easy fish stew is a quick recipe that is ideal for any family meal. A healthy recipe that is comforting as well, this fish stew is prepared with onion, carrots, new potatoes, bell pepper, and fish for a no-fuss meal everyone will rave.

  • 2 tomatoes, blanched
  • 3 allspice berries
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cups onion
  • 1/2 cups carrot
  • 1/2 cups new potatoes
  • 1/2 cups red bell pepper
  • 2 cups fish, cut into large chunks

  • lime, for serving
  • tostadas, for serving

  • Combine tomato, allspice berries, and milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • In a small pot add butter, onion, carrots, new potatoes, and red bell pepper and cook for a couple of minutes more. Pour blended mixture and add fish. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Serve easy fish soup hot with limes and tostadas on the side.
