Moñito Soup with Chicken and Spinach

This soup will remind you of mom and make you feel at home. Brothy, with a rich chicken flavor, vegetables, and Moñito La Moderna®, all of this makes it a complete dish.

  • 3 tomatoes, cut into quarters
  • 1 guajillo chile, cleaned and soaked
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bag La Moderna® bow tie
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cups carrot, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup spinach, cut into strips
  • 1 cup chicken breast, shredded
  • lime, for garnish

  • Blend the tomato with the guajillo chili, onion, garlic, chicken broth, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • In a saucepan, heat the oil over low heat, lightly brown the Moñito La Moderna® until it takes on a golden color, add the tomato sauce you blended earlier, and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and once it starts to boil, add the carrots. Cook for 10 minutes, then add the spinach, chicken breast, and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Serve the soup and accompany with lime.
