Fideo Pasta Soup with Nopales

Prepare a fideo pasta soup in a different way but just as tasty. Just add nopales and Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato purée.   • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup fideo pasta, No.1
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato sauce
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup nopal, cooked and cut into strips
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • pork rinds, in chunks
  • 1 cup panela cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • avocado, cut into cubes

  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and fry fideo pasta until golden brown. Add onion and garlic and cook until translucent.
  • Pour Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato purée into the skillet and add chicken broth. Cook until it simmers. Add nopales and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve the soup with chicharrón chunks, panela cheese, cilantro, and avocado.
