Pasta soup with beans

Celebrate the National Day of Mexican Sign Language with this sign language soup with beans, as it is delicious, filling, and very easy to prepare. Best of all, this recipe combines La Moderna® Sign Language Soup, carrot, celery, tomato, beans, and Parmesan cheese.

  • 3 tomatoes, in quarters
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt
  • 1/4 cups bacon, in small cubes
  • 1 package La Moderna® Sign Soup
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup carrot
  • 1/4 cups celery
  • 1/2 cups tomato, in small cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups black beans, cooked and drained
  • Parmesan cheese, grated, for garnish

  • Blend the tomato, onion, garlic, chicken broth, oregano, and salt for 2 minutes or until everything is well ground. Set aside.
  • Cut the carrot and celery into small cubes.
  • Add the bacon to a pot and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until golden. Then, add La Moderna® Sign Language Soup and cook for 5 minutes or until slightly golden. When La Moderna® Sign Language Soup is golden, add the onion, carrot, celery, and tomato and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Pour the previously blended broth into the pot, add the beans, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Serve the sign language soup with beans in a bowl and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
