Stewed Chickpeas

Chickpeas stewed with bacon, chorizo, and other ingredients that will give it an exquisite flavor.

  • 200 grams chickpea , dry
  • 1 cup tomato
  • 1/2 cups onion
  • 1/2 cups bacon
  • 1/2 cups chorizo, or longaniza
  • 1 liter water
  • salt , to taste

  • Soak the chickpeas overnight or for 12 hours.
  • Put the chickpeas to boil with salt until they are soft.
  • In a pot, fry the chorizo and then the bacon.
  • In another pot, fry the onion, then the tomato, and add the chorizo and bacon.
  • When the chickpeas are ready, add the contents of the pot, a little water, and salt if necessary. Let boil for 20 minutes on low heat.
