The Classic Chicken Broth

A classic chicken broth, perfect for any homemade meal.

  • 8 cups water
  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 carrot, peeled
  • 1 onion
  • 1 celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 6 grams black peppercorn, in ball
  • 1 leaf bay
  • 4 teaspoons parsley, chopped
  • pepper, to taste

  • Boil the chicken in 2 cups of water, when it has created a layer of white fat on top, discard the water and rinse the chicken breasts.
  • Cut the onion and carrot into cubes.
  • In a large pot pour the 8 cups of water and add all the vegetables and chicken and boil over low heat for 1 hour and a half.
  • Once the broth is ready, it can be frozen into cubes and each cube is equivalent to 2 or 3 tablespoons of Swiss koré.
