Butter Rice

Healthy and delicious butter rice to enjoy with family.

  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cups peas
  • 1 bell pepper
  • salt, and pepper to taste

  • Place 2 tablespoons of butter and the onion in a microwave-safe pot.
  • Cook covered at medium level for 2 minutes.
  • Add the rice and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and season with salt and white pepper.
  • Cook covered at medium level for 10 minutes.
  • Add the peas and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Incorporate the previously deveined and diced bell pepper.
  • Add the rest of the butter and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Stir to incorporate all ingredients and let rest covered for 2 minutes.
