How to make perfect mushrooms

Many times we find a delicious sautéed mushroom dish accompanying meats or poultry in restaurants, but when we try to prepare them at home, it turns into a disaster. I’m sharing my super secret for how to cook perfect mushrooms.

Step by Step

1
Clean and remove excess dirt from the mushrooms. You can rinse them in a colander and quickly dry them with paper towels to avoid excess water.
2
Cut off any stems that look tough. If they’re not tough, leave them.
3
Preheat a skillet over high heat. This is very important; the mushrooms will release water, and the hotter it is, the faster the water will evaporate.
4
The trick is, having preheated the skillet, to continue cooking them until all the liquid has evaporated.
5
Wait for the mushrooms to look golden and add more flavor: a bit of chopped garlic and parsley, and then salt and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
6
Pair your mushrooms with your favorite dish.
