Pita bread with olives

  • 1/2 jars Goya® pitted manzanilla olives, for the pita bread
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for the pita bread
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast, for the pita bread
  • 1/4 cups water, warm, for the pita bread
  • 3 cups flour, for the pita bread
  • 1 tablespoon fine herbs, for the pita bread
  • 2 teaspoons salt, for the pita bread
  • 1/2 cups olive oil, for the pita bread
  • 1 jar Manzanilla olives with Goya® peppers, for serving
  • 1 jar Gordales olives stuffed with Goya® peppers, for serving

Low
  • Blend the pitted Goya® manzanilla olives until you have a smooth and creamy consistency. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar, yeast, and warm water. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix and combine the flour, herbs, salt, and the yeast mixture with water. Add the olive oil and the olive puree, and continue kneading until you obtain a smooth dough.Add the olives, incorporate them, place in a previously greased bowl, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Place the dough on a flat surface with a little flour. Divide into equal-sized balls and roll out the dough until you get a flat circle.
  • Place a portion of the dough and cook for 30 seconds or until bubbles begin to form. Flip the pita bread and cook for another 30 seconds. Set aside.
  • Serve the freshly made pita bread with Goya® manzanilla olives with peppers and Goya® gordal olives stuffed with peppers.
