Bagel with egg

  • 3/4 cups water, warm, for the bagel
  • 1 envelope yeast, for the bagel
  • 1/2 cups Danone® Greek Yogurt, for the bagel
  • 1/2 teaspoons sugar, for the bagel
  • 2 1/2 cups flour, for the bagel
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the bagel
  • water, for cooking the bagel
  • 1 egg, for brushing the bagel
  • sesame seeds
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups Danone® Greek Yogurt
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, low-fat, grated

  • In a bowl, mix the water, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix the Danone® Greek yogurt, flour, salt, and yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms, place in a previously greased bowl with oil, cover, and let it ferment for 30 minutes.
  • Form 4 bagels and place on a tray. Ferment for 15 more minutes.
  • In a pot with enough water, cook the bagels one by one for 5 minutes on each side. Remove and place on a tray with parchment paper. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 °C for 20 minutes, slice in half, and set aside.
  • For the egg: Mix the egg, Danone® Greek yogurt, bacon, salt, pepper, and cheese. Add a teaspoon of olive oil to a pan and cook the egg over medium heat for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Fill the bagels with scrambled egg, place a leaf of lettuce, and close. Serve the bagel with egg on a large plate and enjoy.
