Delicious Divorced Eggs

So you don’t have to decide which sauce to accompany your breakfast, we leave you this recipe for Delicious Divorced Eggs. This easy egg breakfast can be served with the yolk well-cooked or runny, but undoubtedly the flavor of the green sauce and the red sauce will give it a spectacular touch.

  • 3 árbol chiles, without stems and soaked in hot water, for the red sauce
  • 1/8 white onions, for the red sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, for the red sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the red sauce
  • 3/4 cups water, for the red sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr® granulated chicken bouillon, for the red sauce
  • 16 tablespoons Knorr® tomato bouillon, for the red sauce, 128 g
  • 1 liter water, for the red sauce
  • 6 tomatillos, for the green sauce
  • 1/8 white onions, for the green sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the green sauce
  • 2 serrano chiles, without stems, for the green sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoons cumin, ground, for the green sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, for the green sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons queso fresco, crumbled, for garnish

  • For the sauce, blend the árbol chili with the onion, garlic, oregano, water, and season with Knorr® chicken broth until you get a smooth mixture.
  • In a pot, boil 1 liter of water and dissolve the contents of Mi Tomate Knorr®. Cook for 2 minutes and add the previous mixture, cook for 3 more minutes and set aside.
  • For the green sauce, in a pot with boiling water, cook the tomatoes with the onion, garlic, and chilies for 20 minutes or until the tomatoes change color.
  • Blend the vegetables along with the cilantro, cumin, and season with Knorr® chicken broth and set aside.
  • In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and crack the eggs. Cook to your liking and remove.
  • Serve the eggs on two plates, drench one half with the red sauce and the other with the green. Garnish with fresh cheese, cilantro, serrano chili, and red onion. Accompany with pot beans and enjoy.
