Eggs with Machaca in Red Sauce

These eggs with machaca in red sauce are perfect for any day of the week, you will want to repeat! Additionally, this breakfast is prepared with a spicy sauce made with morita chiles and all the freshness that only Del Fuerte can offer you.

  • 2 guajillo chiles, for the sauce, deveined, hydrated
  • 2 morita chiles, for the sauce, deveined, hydrated
  • 1 cup Ground Tomatoes of Strong Origin®, for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, for the sauce
  • 1/2 cups cilantro, for the sauce
  • 1/2 cups chicken broth, for the sauce
  • vegetable oil, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for the machaca
  • 1/4 cups onion, chopped
  • 1 cup machaca beef, shredded
  • 4 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 cups refried black beans, for decoration
  • fresh white cheese, grated
  • 1/2 avocados, for decoration
  • tortilla chips, for decoration

  • Pour the Ground Tomatoes Del Fuerte Origen®, chiles, onion, garlic, cilantro, and chicken broth into the blender. Blend until there are no chunks of chile, onion, or garlic.
  • Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat, add the blended mixture, and fry for 5 minutes. Season and set aside.
  • Pour the oil into a skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Next, add the onion and sauté; once translucent, add the shredded machaca and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the beaten eggs, season, and mix.
  • Cook for 5 minutes or until the egg is well cooked. Add half of the sauce and heat until it comes to a boil. Turn off and set aside.
  • Serve the eggs with machaca with refried beans on the side.
  • Pour more sauce over the eggs with machaca if necessary, and decorate with avocado, tortilla chips, and grated cheese.
