Chicken Milanesa Torta

This irresistible chicken milanesa torta has a very special alternative: the meat, which when ground can be seasoned in any way you like; the mixture we present below has a smooth texture and pairs excellently with McCORMICK® mustard. Try it, you'll love it!

  • 2 1/2 cups ground chicken, for the chicken mixture
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, for the chicken mixture
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest, for the chicken mixture
  • 1/2 cups flour, for the chicken mixture
  • 1 egg, for the chicken mixture
  • 1/2 cups cilantro, finely chopped, for the chicken mixture
  • salt, for the chicken mixture
  • pepper, for the chicken mixture
  • 3 tablespoons McCormick® mustard
  • breadcrumbs, for breading
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 telera rolls
  • mayonnaise
  • Romaine lettuce, on leaves
  • Oaxaca cheese, shredded
  • tomato, sliced
  • avocado, sliced
  • mustard

  • For the meat, mix the ground chicken, lime juice, lime zest, flour, egg, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Add McCORMICK® mustard and stir until combined.
  • Form milanesa patties with the ground meat, flattening them between two sheets of plastic, and repeat until the mixture is finished. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Bread with breadcrumbs, there is no need to use egg. Refrigerate again if necessary and fry in hot oil for about 10 minutes. Drain.
  • For the torta, cut the bread in half horizontally and spread mayonnaise on the bottom, place lettuce leaves, cheese, the chicken milanesa, tomato, and avocado.
  • Add McCORMICK® mustard to taste and top with the bread.
