Chilpotle Chicken Wings

  • 1 kilo chicken wings
  • 1 cup milk, for marinating
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, for marinating
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder, for marinating
  • salt, for marinating
  • pepper, for marinating
  • 1 cup flour, for coating
  • 1 tablespoon paprika, for coating
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for coating
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, for coating
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, for coating
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 jar Herdez® Creamy Spicy Chilpotle Sauce, 240 g, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups butter, melted, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
  • celery, in sticks, for serving
  • carrot, in strips, for serving

  • Add the milk and lemon juice to a bowl, then let the mixture rest for 5 minutes or until it slightly curdles. Then, add the onion powder, salt, pepper, and chicken wings. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Set aside.
  • Add the flour, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and thyme to another bowl, then add the wings and coat until fully covered, remove and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet and fry the wings over medium heat for 15 minutes. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil. Set aside.
  • For the sauce: Pour the Herdez® creamy spicy Chilpotle Sauce and the butter into a bowl. Mix, dip the wings in the sauce, drain the excess, and set aside.
  • Place the chilpotle chicken wings on a serving plate and sprinkle with scallions. Enjoy!
