Chicken Thighs with Northern Sauce

  • 1 kilo chicken thigh
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 bottle hot sauce, Norteña Cocina Mestiza®
  • 500 milliliters tomato purée
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons sea ​​salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 potatoes, cut and cooked into wedges
  • 4 teaspoons butter
  • 1/2 bunches fresh cilantro

  • Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper and brown them in a pan with oil over medium heat. Be careful not to burn the chicken.
  • Remove them and set aside. In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic, add the chicken thighs, the Norteña Cocina Mestiza® Sauce, and the tomato puree. Lower the heat and adjust the seasoning. Cover the pan so the thighs cook well. If you notice the sauce is too thick, add a little water.
  • Melt the butter in a pan over low heat and sauté the potatoes, aiming for them to brown. Season with salt and pepper, and once you turn off the heat, add finely chopped cilantro.
