If you love cuts of meat, prepare this glazed pork burger recipe. Its preparation is based on spices, whisky, and the flavor of Karo® Maple. This pork burger recipe is ideal for barbecues.
For the meat, in a bowl mix the brown sugar with onion powder, ground black pepper, sea salt, cumin, paprika, oregano, and thyme.
Place the meat in a baking tray and coat with the spice mixture, making sure to cover it completely. Set aside.
For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over low-medium heat, add the chopped garlic until lightly golden; then add the BBQ sauce, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, whisky, and Karo® Maple, cook for 2 more minutes and remove from heat.
Coat the shoulder with the sauce until fully covered, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 200 °C. Remember that to prevent the meat from drying out too quickly, you should place a tray with water inside the oven to keep moisture constant.
Remove the meat from the oven, and slice thinly. Set aside.
Prepare your burger. Open the hamburger bun in half, spread with mayonnaise and place the shredded meat to taste, add creamy coleslaw and grilled jalapeño peppers. Close and serve with French fries and beer.
