Machaca Broth

With this cold weather, who doesn't crave a hot soup? Enjoy this Sonoran dish full of flavor that will keep you satisfied for longer, thanks to its high content of protein and vegetables. Serve it with white rice.

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cube Knorr Tomate® tomato bouillon
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cups machaca beef
  • 1 potato, peeled and in cubes
  • 2 carrots, in cubes
  • 3 sprigs fresh cilantro

  • Blend the tomato, onion, garlic, Knorr Tomato® seasoning cube, and one cup of water. Strain.
  • Heat the oil and fry the above for 3 minutes, add the rest of the water, and bring to a boil.
  • Add the machaca and the vegetables; cook over medium heat until the vegetables are well cooked.
  • Remove from heat, add the cilantro sprigs, and let it sit for 5 minutes, then serve.
