Meatball casserole

The classic hamburger but in a family version and baked, it's healthier. This way, you save on bread consumption and no one is left wanting for little hamburgers. Surprise them and enjoy.

  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 garlic, chopped
  • 500 grams ground meat, beef
  • 500 grams ground meat, pork
  • 2 eggs
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 100 grams deli ham, chopped
  • 50 grams Oaxaca cheese, shredded
  • 6 American cheese, in slices
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • onions, chopped
  • pickled Jalapeño chiles
  • pepper, to taste

  • In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, cilantro, salt, pepper, egg, bread, and meat.
  • Grease and flour a metal mold and preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Add half of the prepared meat and on top add the cheeses and ham, cover with another layer of meat.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes or until a fork inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Serve with green salad and a little mashed potatoes.
