My Teriyaki

This simple version of teriyaki is a mix of vegetables and chicken seasoned with the typical teriyaki sauce.

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 pumpkins
  • 1/4 green bell peppers
  • 1 red bell pepper, or yellow bell pepper
  • 5 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, for glazing
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, for marinating
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pinch sesame seeds

  • Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and cut it into strips.
  • When the oil is hot, add the garlic and chicken strips, and reduce the heat to medium.
  • When the chicken is half cooked, add the vegetables in this order: first the onion and carrot, stirring occasionally. Once they soften, add the bell pepper and zucchini, stirring occasionally until the latter also softens.
  • Next, add the sauces, mix everything together and stir occasionally, adjusting the seasoning and consistency of the sauce until everything is well cooked.
