Chicharrón Tacos Placeros

Chicharrón Tacos Placeros are a typical dish from the central states of the country. In the State of Mexico, they are prepared with a salad made of chopped and cooked nopales, among many other ingredients, but with this recipe for Tacos Placeros, we present a basic version that you can prepare quickly, enjoy deliciously, and feel satisfied.

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups nopal, cooked and cut into strips
  • 1/2 cups fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 jars xoconostle sauce Herdez®
  • salt
  • 3 cups pork rinds, chopped
  • tortillas
  • 1 cup tomato, cut into julienne
  • avocado, sliced
  • radish
  • lime

  • For the nopales salad: in a pot, fry the onion and add Herdez® Xoconostle Sauce. Cook for 3 minutes and add the nopales, cilantro, and cook 2 more minutes. Set aside.
  • Assemble the tacos with the tortillas, chopped chicharrón, the nopales salad, the tomato, and garnish with avocado and radish. To accompany, add lime juice and enjoy!
