Christmas Tart

This Christmas tart is made with classic seasonal flavors like spices and red fruits, and its taste is contrasted with a slightly tart and sweet filling. The best part? It’s an easy-to-make Christmas dessert!

  • 1 cup flour, for the base
  • 1 cup sugar, for the base
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons anise powder, or in seed
  • 1 cup butter, in cubes, cold, for the base
  • 1 egg, for the base
  • 1 1/2 cups yogurt, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups milk, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the filling
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch, for the filling
  • 1/4 teaspoons almond essence
  • red fruit sauce, crushed red fruits with sugar to taste
  • mixed berries, raspberries and blueberries, for decoration
  • rosemary, for decoration

  • Add the flour, sugar, and spices in the bowl of the Black + Decker® stand mixer with a rotating bowl, then mix very well. Gradually add the cold butter and incorporate. Add the egg to bind the mixture.
  • Remove the mixture from the bowl and transfer it to the tart mold. Carefully spread with your hands until covering the entire base and the walls of the mold.
  • Bake the tart base at 180 °C for about 20 minutes. When golden and perfectly cooked, remove from the oven and cool. Set aside.
  • Mix the yogurt, milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a pot while cold. Heat over medium and stir until thickened. Add the almond essence, mix, and remove.
  • Pour the filling into the baked tart base and spread with a spatula. Chill.
  • Pour red fruit sauce on top as a mirror, and decorate the Christmas tart with red fruits and sprigs of rosemary.
