Baked Figs with Nuts and Honey

A delicious and light gourmet recipe. Baked figs are very tasty, especially when paired with honey and nuts.

  • 18 figs, fresh
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Pierce the figs with a fork and place them in a buttered baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the sugar over them and pour in the 1/2 cup of water and the honey.
  • Bake the figs for 20 minutes, using a spoon to baste them every 10 minutes.
  • Remove the figs, add half of the nuts, and bake for 10 more minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and take the figs out of the juice. Place the figs on a serving platter.
  • Boil the juices in a pot for 10 minutes and pour over the figs. Sprinkle the figs with the remaining nuts and serve.
