Whole Wheat Banana Cake with Cream

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 150 grams brown sugar
  • 1/2 glasses cow's milk
  • 225 grams whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 45 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 75 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 250 milliliters whipping cream

  • Grease and flour a cake pan. Preheat the oven to 200º C.
  • Mash the banana leaving small pieces and mix it with the sugar and milk.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and add the salt, stirring everything together.
  • In another container, beat the butter until it becomes a paste and add the vanilla.
  • Gradually incorporate the eggs into the previous mixture one by one, then slowly add the flour mixture.
  • Incorporate the banana with a fork to avoid breaking the pieces.
  • Pour the entire mixture into the previously greased and floured mold.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
  • Once the cake has cooled, whip the cream with just a little brown sugar and vanilla until it thickens.
  • Unmold the cake and decorate with the cream.
