Make your own chamoy apples, with natural ingredients. Enjoy the mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. We made them with Domino® Muscovado Sugar made from 100% natural cane.
Heat the guajillo chili, the tamarind concentrate and the water over medium heat in a medium saucepan; boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and cool slightly to room temperature.
Blend the chiles for 3 minutes until obtaining a smooth paste; Return this pasta to the pot and add Domino® Muscovado Sugar, salt and lemon juice, cook at low temperature for approximately 10 minutes, or until the sugar is cooked, you should obtain a semi-thick texture; remove from heat.
Add chili powder until a paste forms; let cool perfectly.
With the help of your hands, go through the apple with the wooden stick without reaching the other end; cover apples with pasta making a thin layer; freeze for 10 minutes.
Cover the apples with chili powder and pour in chamoy to taste.
