Chocolate Cupcake with Vanilla

This delicious chocolate cupcake recipe is made with dark chocolate and delightful vanilla frosting.

  • 250 grams semisweet chocolate, in squares
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, for the frosting
  • 1 2/3 cups icing sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon cow's milk

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Melt the chocolate and the 2 sticks of butter in a double boiler, mix, and remove from heat.
  • In an electric mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar until creamy. Add the flour and salt and continue mixing.
  • Add the chocolate to the mixture and beat for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Using a spoon, place the batter into 12 cupcake liners. Bake for 15 minutes and remove from the oven.
  • In a mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for 5-8 minutes or until fluffy.
