Crepes with Apple and Calvados

Crepes are a delicious dessert as long as they are filled with the right ingredients. This apple and apple brandy filling, called Calvados, is a delight.

  • 6 crepes
  • 6 green apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cups apple brandy calvados

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apple and sugar, cover, and cook for 10 minutes or until the apples are tender.
  • Remove the lid and cook for 10 more minutes until the apples start to caramelize. Add the Calvados and remove from heat.
  • Place 1/4 cup of apple filling in the center of each crepe. Roll the crepe and place in a Pyrex baking dish.
  • Sprinkle a little sugar over the crepes and bake for 5 minutes. Serve.
