Hibiscus Cupcakes

Original vanilla cupcakes with hibiscus cream. A unique and different recipe that will surprise everyone. Make them for special occasions or to gift to someone special.

  • 300 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons royal
  • 125 grams sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 grams butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups hibiscus flower, ground

  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  • Cover the molds with cupcake liners.
  • Sift all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl and form a well. Set aside.
  • Combine the liquids: egg, milk, vanilla, cream, and melted butter until well blended.
  • Pour the liquids into the well and mix without overworking.
  • Place on the liners and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven, unmold, and let cool.
  • Whip the cold cream until it forms peaks. Add powdered sugar and ground hibiscus.
  • Decorate the cupcake with the cream and embellish to taste.
