Delicious Caramelized Apples

Prepare this recipe for apples covered with butter caramel, red caramel, and chocolate with a fun variety of delicious toppings. These apples will look great at your events or candy tables.

  • 3 cups soft caramels
  • 1 cup peanuts, for caramel apples with butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, for red caramel apples
  • 1/2 cups water, for red caramel apples
  • 1/2 cups corn syrup, for red caramel apples
  • 1/2 teaspoons red food coloring, for red caramel apples
  • 2 cups dark chocolate, for chocolate apples
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles, for chocolate apples

  • In a deep pot, heat the water until it boils, add the apples and leave them in the water until they appear opaque and all the wax comes off.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, water, corn syrup, and red dye, and cook until it reaches a boiling point and forms fine bubbles.
  • On a cutting board, insert a wooden stick, soaked in lemon juice, into each apple. Dip the apples to coat them completely. Set aside in the refrigerator.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the caramel candies with the milk, dip the apples to coat them completely. Decorate with peanuts and refrigerate.
  • Heat a pot with water and place a bowl on top, melt the chocolate in a double boiler, dip the apples to coat them completely. Decorate with chocolate chips and refrigerate.
  • Decorate the apples with a colorful ribbon and form a bow, enjoy on any occasion.
