Glazed Donuts

As fluffy and delicious as can be, these colorful glazed donuts will make you forget completely about the store-bought stuff! Glazed with a creamy vanilla glaze, these classic fried donuts garnished with rainbow sprinkles are the ideal sweet breakfast treat or dessert to give in to your cravings.

  • 400 grams sifted flour
  • 20 grams baker's yeast
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1/2 glasses cow's milk
  • 30 grams butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 package vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 75 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons cow's milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 450 grams icing sugar
  • red food coloring, for the pink glaze
  • rainbow sprinkles, or chocolate sprinkles

  • In a bowl add the flour and make a hole in the center, add the yeast, milk and a pinch of sugar.
  • Knead until a dough begins to form, add the remaining sugar, salt, butter at room temperature and the eggs.
  • Knead well and let the dough rest for an hour in a warm place.
  • On a floured surface spread the dough with a rolling pin until it is 8mm thick, with a 4 cm diameter round cutter cut the dough, in each circle cut a 1 cm diameter circle in the center.
  • Cover and let stand in a warm place for 2 hours. Fry in a pan with 3 cm of hot oil. Brown on both sides, remove and drain on kitchen paper to remove excess fat.
