Glazed Donuts

  • 400 grams sifted flour
  • 20 grams baker's yeast
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1/2 glasses cow's milk
  • 30 grams butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 package vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 75 grams butter, (at room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons cow's milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 450 grams icing sugar
  • red food coloring, (for the pink glaze)
  • rainbow sprinkles, Chocolate Donuts

  • In a bowl, add the flour and make a hole in the center, add the yeast, milk, and a pinch of sugar.
  • Knead until a dough starts to form, add the remaining sugar, salt, room temperature butter, and eggs.
  • Knead well and let the dough rest for one hour in a warm place.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 8mm, use a round cutter of 4 cm in diameter to cut the dough, and cut a circle of 1 cm in diameter in the center of each circle.
  • Cover and let rest in a warm place for 2 hours. Fry in a pan with 3 cm of hot oil. Brown on both sides, remove and let drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
  • For the glaze: In a bowl, beat the butter until smooth, add the milk and vanilla extract, add half of the powdered sugar and beat for a few minutes. Incorporate the remaining sugar and continue beating until it reaches a smooth consistency. To make pink glaze, set aside a portion of the glaze and add a drop of red food coloring or as needed to achieve the desired color.
  • Add the glaze to the donuts and decorate with colorful or chocolate sprinkles.
