Creamy Chocolate Flan

  • 1/4 cups sugar, for the caramel
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup, for the caramel
  • 397 grams condensed milk, (1 can) for the flan
  • 352 milliliters evaporated milk, (1 can) for the flan
  • 5 eggs, for the flan
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup, for the flan
  • 1 cup cocoa powder, for the flan
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, for the flan
  • 1 1/2 cups cream cheese, for the flan
  • whipped cream, for decoration
  • strawberries, for decoration
  • white chocolate, grated, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 170° C.
  • For the caramel, heat the sugar with the syrup in a small pot over low heat, stirring occasionally, and cook until it forms a caramel. Pour the caramel into a flan mold and set aside.
  • For the flan, blend the condensed milk with the evaporated milk, the egg, the chocolate syrup, the cocoa powder, the vanilla, and the cream cheese.
  • Pour the previous preparation over the caramel, cover, and bake in a water bath for approximately 2 hours. Remove from the oven, cool, and refrigerate for 1 hour or until well chilled.
  • Unmold and decorate with whipped cream, strawberries, and a bit of grated white chocolate.
  • Cut a slice, serve, and enjoy.
