Chimichangas with Coffee-Vanilla Sauce

  • 1 can condensed milk, LA LECHERA® (sauce)
  • 1 cup water, (sauce)
  • 1 envelope Nescafé® vanilla powder mix for making vanilla-flavored cappuccino coffee, (25 g) (sauce)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch, (15 g), dissolved in ½ cup of cold water (sauce)
  • 12 flour tortillas, hot
  • 3 bananas, sliced
  • 3/4 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil, (125 ml)

  • For the sauce, heat the LA LECHERA® Condensed Milk with the water, and when it starts to bubble, add the NESCAFÉ® Vanilla Powder Mix for Preparing Vanilla Flavored Cappuccino with the previously dissolved cornstarch; cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
  • For the chimichangas, place a little banana and walnut in each tortilla; roll them up by folding the ends inward to prevent the filling from spilling out.
  • Heat the oil and fry the rolls until golden brown on both sides. Place on absorbent paper to remove excess fat, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with red fruits.
