Creamy Brazilian Coconut

  • 2 tablespoons butter, in cubes
  • 1/2 cups condensed milk
  • 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 2 cups whipped cream, Chantilly type
  • 1 cup whipped cream, Chantilly type, for decoration
  • 1/4 cups maraschino cherries, for decoration

  • Melt the butter in a pot over high heat, then add the condensed milk and whole milk and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Then add the shredded coconut, mix well, and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl or baking dish and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Once the time has passed, incorporate the whipped vegetable cream into the previously chilled mixture, mixing the ingredients well until you achieve a creamy consistency. Set aside the Brazilian coconut.
  • Serve the creamy Brazilian coconut in a bowl, decorate with more whipped vegetable cream and add a cherry. If you prefer, you can use dessert cups.
