Hard Bread Pudding

  • 7 pieces of bread, hard of the week
  • 4 cups cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups raisins
  • 1/4 cups pecans, chopped
  • 1 stick butter, 90 g

  • Preheat the oven to 190° C.
  • Cut the bread into small pieces, place it in a bowl, and add the milk to soak for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the bread to remove the milk and mix with sugar, egg, vanilla, raisins, walnuts, and melted butter.
  • Mix thoroughly and pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured 28 cm diameter cake mold.
  • Bake uncovered for 45 minutes; after this time, check the doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean. Let it cool.
