How to make colored crepes?

If you love simple desserts, prepare this recipe for colored crepes with classic flavors: strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate, accompanied by LA LECHERA® Spread. These crepes are a great way to treat your family with delicious colors and flavors.

  • 3 cups flour, previously sifted
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 1/2 cups strawberries, without tail, in quarters
  • pink food coloring, for the strawberry crepes
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • yellow food coloring, for the vanilla crepes
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, for the chocolate crepes
  • cooking spray, for the crepes
  • La Lechera® Spread, for serving

  • Place the flour along with the sugar and the egg in a bowl, then whisk with a hand whisk until you obtain a semi-thick mixture. Gradually incorporate the milk and melted butter while stirring; you should obtain a uniform mixture. Divide the mixture into 3 and set aside.
  • For the strawberry crepes: Blend the strawberry with a portion of the crepe mixture, add pink food coloring to taste and set aside.
  • For the vanilla crepes: Mix in a bowl a portion of the mixture with vanilla extract and yellow food coloring to taste; combine and set aside.
  • For the chocolate crepes: Mix in a bowl the third portion of the crepe mixture along with chocolate syrup and sifted cocoa powder. Set aside.
  • Cook the crepes: Heat a non-stick skillet and add a little cooking spray, use a ladle to pour each of the crepe mixtures, cook each side for 2 minutes over low heat. Repeat and finish with the mixtures of each flavor.
  • Serve the crepes accompanied by LA LECHERA® Spread to taste and decorate with strawberry, banana, or walnut.
