Light Banana Bread

This version of banana bread is made with wheat flour and oats and contains only 120 calories per slice.

  • 1 1/4 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 cup banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cups low-fat milk
  • 2 egg whites

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the bananas, sugar, oil, milk, and egg whites.
  • Add the flour, oats, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the mold.
