Cream Cake with Raisins

It's a delicious cake, easy to make and economical; I'm sure you'll love it; it's perfect for this cold weather with a cup of hot chocolate in the company of your family.

  • 1 1/4 cups clotted cream
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 eggs

  • Beat the cream until fluffy, gradually add the sugar, and without stopping to beat, add the eggs one by one.
  • The flour must be sifted three times along with the baking powder.
  • When the mixture reaches the ribbon stage, add the flour and raisins.
  • Pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured mold, filling it halfway, and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes at 300°C.
