Tamarindos Enchilados

We know that you can't resist Mexican sweets and these enchilados tamarinds are no exception, sprinkled with piquín chili and sugar are the snack you need. Making typical Mexican sweets has never been so easy!

1 kilo tamarind pods, clean and peeled
500 grams sugar
100 grams piquín chile, powdered
1 teaspoon salt
sugar, to sprinkle
Preparation

Low
In a pot, heat the water with the sugar, when it boils add the tamarinds, and cook while stirring until it thickens. Remove from heat and reserve.
On a sheet of waxed paper, see the tamarinds, let them cool, add chili powder, salt and wrap in cellophane paper.
