White Chocolate and Macadamia Cookies

1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 tablespoons salt
1 cup butter
1 1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 cup white chocolate, in chunks
1 cup macadamia nut, in chunks

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease two baking sheets.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another large mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy.
Add and continue beating the eggs and vanilla.
Now gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture, beating until a uniform dough is obtained.
Add the chocolate chunks and macadamia nuts and mix well.
Using a large spoon, place spaced circles of dough on the baking sheets.
Bake the cookies for 18 minutes or until they are lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and serve.
