Traditional Margarita

  • 1/2 cups Herradura® Tequila
  • 3/4 cups orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cups lime juice
  • 1 lime, cut into thin wheels
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • salt, for the rim
  • ice cubes

  • Rub a quarter of a lime around the rim of each margarita glass until wet.
  • Arrange a bed of salt on a plate. Dip glass into the salt to create an even salt rim.
  • In a blender, combine ice cubes, Tequila, and orange liqueur and blend until smooth.
  • Add sugar.
  • Serve traditional margarita in a salt-rimmed margarita glass.
