Baked Brie Cheese with Chile Jam

If you like cheese and puff pastry at the same time, this snack of soft baked Brie cheese, filled with orange jam with a spicy touch of ancho chile, morita chile, and guajillo chile, mixed with blueberries is spectacular. Ideal for a dinner where you want to impress your guests.

  • 1 cup orange, cut into supremes, for the jam
  • 1 cup orange juice, for the jam
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the jam
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the jam
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped, for the jam
  • 1/4 cups ancho chile, finely chopped, for the jam
  • 1/8 cups morita chile, finely chopped, for the jam
  • 1/4 cups guajillo chile, finely chopped, for the jam
  • 1/4 cups dried cranberries, for the jam
  • 1/2 kilos puff pastry

  • 1 Brie cheese, from 400 g to 1 kg
  • 1 egg, smoothie

  • Preheat the oven to 200° C.
  • For the jam, cook the orange in a pot over low heat with the orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, garlic, and chiles for about 20 to 30 minutes or until it forms a jam. Add the blueberries, remove from the heat, cool, and set aside.
  • On a clean, floured surface, roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin and cut a square. Set aside the excess for decoration.
  • Place the puff pastry on a baking tray, arrange the Brie cheese in the center, and pour the jam over it. Close the puff pastry, sticking interlaced strips of puff pastry with a little egg to form a lattice. Brush completely with egg and bake until golden.
  • Serve the cheese and decorate with arugula, dried blueberries, and raspberries.
