Easy Smoked Salmon Mousse

This smoked salmon mousse recipe is perfect to enjoy as an appetizer, as it is very nutritious and you can also add a crunchy and even healthier touch with some delicious Habaneras® Crackers.

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 200 grams smoked salmon, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cups low-fat whipped cream
  • salt

  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin powder, 7 grams, hydrated
  • 200 grams smoked salmon, in thin slices for decoration
  • arugula, for decoration
  • chives, finely chopped, for decoration
  • Habaneras® Integral Crackers, for accompaniment

  • Pour the yogurt along with the whipping cream and the salmon into the blender; blend at maximum speed until the salmon is well broken down.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl, season with pepper to taste, add the lemon zest, and mix evenly. Set aside.
  • Pour about 4 tablespoons of the salmon mixture and add the melted gelatin into a bowl, then mix constantly for a few seconds, as this will help temper the mixture and prevent it from curdling. Next, incorporate the tempered gelatin into the mixture and blend perfectly.
  • Add the salmon mixture into a rectangular mold or baking dish lined with non-stick plastic, cover with non-stick plastic, and refrigerate the mousse for 4 hours or until set.
  • Unmold the smoked salmon mousse from the mold and place it on a rectangular plate. Decorate the entire mousse by covering it with salmon slices, then add arugula leaves and sprinkle with chives. Serve with some delicious Whole Grain Habaneras® Crackers.
