Banderillas with Hot Sauce

  • 3/4 cups pancake mix
  • 3/4 cups wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cups whole milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 6 sausages
  • vegetable oil, to fry the banderillas
  • 1 cup Frank’S® Red Hot Original, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups tomato purée, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons raw sugar, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, for the sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoons oregano, for the sauce

  • Mix the pancake flour with the wheat flour, baking powder, egg, and whole milk until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. Set aside.
  • Insert a skewer into each sausage, coat with the previous mixture, and fry for a few minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, pour the Frank's® Red Hot Original sauce, add the butter, tomato puree, garlic powder, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and oregano. Cook for 3 minutes and set aside.
  • Serve the banderilla with the hot sauce and enjoy.
